Do I need a Gmail account?
Yes. The service currently supports Google accounts with Gmail because it uses Google sign-in, Gmail for sending, and Google Drive for invoice storage.
Where are my invoice PDFs stored?
Invoice PDFs are stored in the Google Drive destination you choose. The default destination is a folder named Super Simple Invoice, but you can select your Drive root or enter a custom folder name.
Does Super Simple Invoice store my customer database?
No separate customer database is maintained. Customer details are processed to create the current invoice PDF and the email you request. The PDF remains in your Google Drive.
What information does the service store?
The service stores your connected account email, encrypted Google authorization credentials, reusable invoice settings, login information, and basic generated, saved, and sent invoice counts needed to operate and administer the service.
What Google permissions are required?
The service requests permission to send email from your Gmail account and to create or manage the invoice files it creates in Google Drive. It does not request unrestricted access to every file in your Drive.
Can I preview an invoice before sending it?
Yes. The final PDF must be reviewed before it is saved or sent. The review screen also shows the invoice number, total, selected recipients, and Google Drive destination.
How many invoices can I generate each day?
Each connected Gmail account can generate up to 10 invoices per day. The allowance resets at midnight in the America/Vancouver time zone. PDF previews do not use the daily allowance.
How can I request a higher daily limit?
Contact WEBCA Lab through webca.com and explain your expected daily invoice volume. Higher limits are reviewed individually.
Can I create a backdated invoice?
Yes. You can choose an earlier invoice date. Changing the date creates a new invoice number using the date plus a random six-character code, so numbers are intentionally non-sequential.
Can I use different currencies and taxes?
Yes. You can choose common currencies or enter a custom three-letter currency code. You can add, name, edit, or remove multiple taxes such as GST and PST.
Can I save frequently used products or services?
Yes. Add default products and services in Settings with a description and rate, then select them while preparing an invoice.
What is the difference between Send & Save and Save to Drive?
Send & Save stores the PDF in Google Drive and emails it to the selected recipients. Save to Drive stores the PDF without sending an email. Both options require a final preview and confirmation.
Can I disconnect my Google account?
Yes. Use Logout in the website and revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account security settings.
Is this accounting or tax software?
No. Super Simple Invoice is an administrative invoice creation tool. You remain responsible for invoice accuracy, taxes, legal requirements, record retention, and professional advice needed for your business.
